Our Opening Night Party was a Blast!

- Mar 03, 2009

Last night Not Fade Away Gallery hosted a private aprty at the gallery to celebrate the opening of the gallery and the unveiling of the Bob Bonis collection. It was truly one of the great NY parties with celebs, photographers and friends and family in attendance. Keith Richard's daughters, Alexandra and Theodora, were the guest DJ's and were later relieved by DJ Mess Kid. Alex and Theo are the sweetest most gracious people I have ever met and we are truly in their debt.

Other people who joined us to celebrate were Steve Van Zandt, legendary guitarist with Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band as well as his own bands and now the radio personality on his Underground Garage network on Sirius Satellite Radio channel 25. Ronnie Spector made a rare public appearance to celebrate with us as did original Woodstock promoter Michael Lang, Scene Club owner Steve Paul, promo man extraordinaire Pete Bennett, world famous photographer Bob Gruen and his wife Elizabeth Gregory-Gruen ( a fine artist in her own right), photographers Leee Black Childers and Chuck Pullin were also in attendance.

The sensational Patrick McMullan was the house photographer for the opening night festivities and you can see many of his great photographs by clicking on the scrapbook link of by going to his website Patrick McMullan.com and searching for Not Fade Away Gallery. We will be exhibiting Patrick's photography in a future show and he will be guest curating exhibits for us, as well.

Thanks to all who attended to help us launch and celebrate the gallery and Bob Bonis World Premiere Exhibit!
